A wood slice with individual character The reference photographs show a round cross-section with concentric grain, natural fissures and an irregular bark edge. These details are part of the design rather than a uniform pattern repeated on every table. Each selected slab differs in outline, tone and grain. We send photographs and measurements of the actual wood for approval before production. This design is made from walnut, with the actual slab confirmed before production. Diameter is approximate because the natural edge is not a perfect circle; the finished outline and measurements are confirmed with your actual slab. The leg-height selection refers to the legs only. Tabletop thickness is additional, so the completed table will stand higher than the selected leg measurement. Confirm your preferred finished overall height before production. The selected diameter determines the listed price; leg height does not change it. Finish and everyday care Choose a wood-oil or varnished finish after discussing the appearance you prefer. Our oil finishes include Hemel or Rubio Monocoat, with varnish available on request. The actual finish and care instructions are confirmed for your order. Wipe up spills promptly, use coasters and protect the surface from hot objects. Clean gently with a soft cloth and avoid soaking the wood or using abrasive cleaners. For an oiled finish, a compatible maintenance coat may be appropriate after approximately 3–4 years, depending on use and wear. Varnished surfaces do not need routine re-oiling. Hairpin legs and assembly The reference design uses black metal hairpin legs. Assembly instructions, the required screws and a screwdriver are included. Attach the base following the supplied instructions and use suitable help when handling a heavy slab. Finished weight, slab thickness and base placement depend on the selected piece and are confirmed before production.
