Hi, I’m Tayfun.The maker behind your piece.

I’m Tayfun, the maker behind your piece. I learned to work with wood from my grandfather: patiently, carefully, and with respect for what nature has already created. Today, I carry that approach into every piece I make in my workshop in Türkiye.

Olive wood is at the heart of my work. I select wood from olive trees around 200–500 years old, carrying centuries of Anatolian history in their twisting grain, knots and natural edges. Each olive wood piece is shaped from a single, solid slab rather than a top assembled from separate boards. Following the craft my grandfather taught me, I work patiently with the wood’s natural character, shaping and finishing it by hand so its individual story remains visible.

You help choose the raw wood, and approve its photographs and measurements before payment. I then shape and finish your piece by hand. When it is complete, I send new photographs for your final approval before shipping. From the first slab to the finished object, you are in direct conversation with the person making it.

Our current focus is made-to-order finished pieces. Ask about slab-only availability or a custom desk. For a standing desk, the lifting base, load capacity and compatibility need separate confirmation; no standing-desk mechanism is currently listed.

Once you approve your wood, make payment. Production begins after approval and payment, and takes approximately 7 days.

Approve, then ship

When your piece is finished, we send new photographs for your review. Only after your final approval do we hand it over to the courier. Ships from Türkiye via FedEx or TNT. Estimated transit: 2 days. US shipping is included.

Will I receive the exact wood shown?

Gallery images are design references. Natural grain, color and edges vary. After payment, we send photos and measurements of your actual wood for your approval before production.

Will you send photos before shipping?

Yes. We send photographs of the finished product and require your explicit approval before shipment. No product is shipped without it. Initial wood approval is separate; no response does not count as final approval.

What if I do not approve the wood, or my item arrives damaged?

If we cannot agree on a wood selection before production begins, you receive a full refund. Damaged or incorrect products are replaced with a new product, without limiting applicable consumer rights. Read our Refund & Replacement Policy.

When will my piece be made?

Production takes approximately 7 days after you approve the wood. Estimated shipping transit is 2 days via FedEx or TNT; transit times may vary.

Is shipping to the United States included?

Yes. Shipping from Türkiye to the USA is included in the product price. Final order and delivery details will be confirmed before purchase.

Can I choose the dimensions?

Available options are listed in inches on each product page. Natural-edge width can vary along a piece. We confirm actual dimensions with your wood-selection photos.

How thick is the tabletop?

Our wood coffee-table tops are generally 1.18–1.57 inches (3–4 cm) thick. Epoxy-table tops are generally 1.57–1.97 inches (4–5 cm), while dining-table tops are usually 1.18–1.57 inches (3–4 cm). Thickness can vary with the slab and design; we confirm the actual tabletop thickness with your wood-selection measurements before production.

What finish do you use on the wood?

We use wood oil finishes from Hemel or Rubio Monocoat, chosen for the wood and intended use. A varnish finish is also available on request. We confirm the finish for your piece before production; the exact product and care instructions depend on the finish selected.

How do I maintain an oiled wood tabletop?

An oiled tabletop can generally be refreshed by cleaning the surface and applying one maintenance coat approximately every 3–4 years, depending on use and wear. This is usually a straightforward process. Follow the instructions for the specific Hemel or Rubio Monocoat finish used on your piece, and contact us before applying a maintenance product. We can confirm the compatible product and application method.

Does a varnished tabletop need re-oiling?

No. A varnished tabletop does not need routine re-oiling and can last for many years with normal care. It still needs regular cleaning and protection from scratches, heat and standing water. Contact us if the finish is damaged or worn, so we can advise on the appropriate repair.
